The development of the Howard Johnson brand in our country began in 1999 with the opening of its two first hotels. From the beginning, the Argentine hotel market was thoroughly evaluated and we found that there was a deep need for new properties for both business and pleasure purposes, offering high quality and comfort, excellent guest attentionand large facilities that could be provided for competitive market rates.
A detailed Market Study is carried out with each project prior to the signing of the contracts,
in order not only to know if it can become a possible success but also to help us define whichhotel best suits the needs of the location. This study evaluates volume, services to be
rendered, location, etc.
Three years ago, the rights to exploit the well known Days Inn chain - which has more than
2,200 hotels in the world - were acquired. The first hotel in Argentina is located in the city ofLa Plata and two future hotels are going to be opened in Zarate and inside the Dolores Thermal Park.
